Health
Chapter 29

2/13/2014

Dear Dr. Shirley,
Overall I am feeling pretty good and able to do what I want to do. I go through 1 to 2 week cycles of feeling good and being injured or sick. Anxiety, stress, and over work usually trigger an episode. I take extra care, rest, and do therapy, and in a few weeks, I am ok again. I feel like I'm moving ahead, though. I am trying to maintain a sustainable routine of feeling good.
Upon arising, I have some 1/2 strength coffee, 1 prune, and a prilosec otc. When I skip the prilosec, I have stomach upset later in the day. Then a banana and a cup of oatmeal. Morning vits and supplements include: multi vit, 1000mg C, Glucosamine, b-12, fish oil cap, multi mineral, St Johns Wort, 100mg Sertraline, 1 baby aspirin. On days when I am sore, I skip the aspirin and take 2 ibuprofen.
Midday: Vit E, CO-Q, B1, StJohns Wort, Magnesium, Zinc, Opti Vue (eyes),
Evening: multi vit, fish oil, 1000mg C, doxasosin 1mg, niacin, saw palmetto, glucosamine, St Johns Wort, B complex.
I am eating a pretty good diet.
I take a Lorazepam several X a week, in the am, if I feel anxious, or 1 in the evening if I need to calm down. I drink 2 shots of Jim Beam most nights. I am not smoking at this time.
What keeps me feeling good: Karen, a manageable workload, watching tv, music, working on personal projects, running, weight work, stretching, hot tub, inversion table, foam roller, massage and chiropractic, volunteer activity with Jax Bch lifeguards, praying and meditating, taking 3 breath breaks.
Thank you for looking after me.
